Holidays at Disneyland are extra-magical. I know that sounds cliche, but the feelings that engulf you as you stroll down a fully decorated Main Street, with Christmas music playing in the background, the flickering gas lanterns and the sparkling lights–there’s simply nothing else like it. Every detail is masterfully blended with the scent of fresh hand-crafted candy and Sleeping Beauty Castle illuminated in the background.

We most likely won’t be able to experience these feelings on Main Street this year, but it looks like we’ll be able to walk through a holiday-dressed Buena Vista Street inside of California Adventure next month without having to buy a ticket.
Disney announced that Buena Vista Street will reopen next month as an extension to Downtown Disney in all its holiday splendor with everything from Trolley Treats, Fiddler, Elias & Co and more to reopen (including carts along the street).
We won’t have to pay to get in, but we’ll be able to sit down to eat at the Carthay Circle Lounge, Smokejumpers Grill, and more. There will be no access to attractions–but I honestly love hanging out on Buena Vista Street, especially at night.

Since we’re on the subject of Christmas and the Holidays at Disneyland: here’s the Christmas loop that’s played at the Grand Californian. And here’s the regular Grand Californian loop (both Spotify links). I love listening to these songs at home because it makes me feel like I’m walking through the hotel and into DCA near Grizzly Peak!
