I found this super-interesting Snopes article this week: “Does a Tent Hide Abandoned Skyway Steps in Disneyland?”:
In 2016, they removed the famous Skyway chalet that stood perched above Fantasyland long after the attraction was removed in 1994–but they didn’t remove the steps.
Snopes delves into several abandoned attractions, which has always been a fascinating subject for Disney fans, but there’s something endlessly interesting about the Skyway.
I’ve always been mesmerized by the abandoned chalet in Fantasyland, so much so, I wrote a few books featuring Skyway lore called VOYAGEERS.
In the article, they linked to a Google Street View of the hidden steps in Fantasyland. WOW, I didn’t know they had the entire Park on Street View! Go here and you can navigate the Park, it’s a lot of fun!
