MouseWait's Disney News

Today marks 30 years since Chelsea and I got married at the Disneyland Hotel! From that moment, Disneyland became more than just a park—it became the backdrop to our love story and the setting where we raised our children, creating countless treasured memories beneath fireworks and pixie-dusted skies.

Over three decades, each walk through the gates, through the magic tunnel, and into Main Street, every ride on Haunted Mansion, and all those evenings spent hand-in-hand listening to jazz in New Orleans Square deepened our bond, making us more in love now than we’ve ever been. From the ballroom dancing nights at the Carnation Plaza Gardens to hanging out with our kids at the Jolly Holiday on Main Street after fireworks, Disneyland isn’t just the happiest place on Earth—it’s woven into the very fabric of our lives and our family’s story, forever reminding us that dreams really do come true. God blessed me with Chelsea over 30 years ago, and because of her, my life has become more wonderful than I ever imagined.

A Week of Magic and Discovery at Disneyland Resort

The air crackles with anticipation as spring arrives in Anaheim, painting the Disneyland Resort with vibrant energy. This week, from March 25th to April 1st, 2025, marks a unique moment where the tail end of spring break intertwines with the thrilling commencement of “Season of the Force,” creating a dynamic atmosphere for visitors. Within this sprawling kingdom of dreams, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure stand as twin pillars of enchantment, while Downtown Disney, the Grand Californian, Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel offer havens of relaxation and further immersion into the Disney story. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or a first-time explorer, this week promises a tapestry of experiences waiting to be discovered.

Culinary Delights: A Taste of Disneyland This Week

Embark on a gastronomic journey across the Disneyland Resort, where a symphony of flavors awaits at every corner. While no entirely new menu items debuted precisely between March 18th and March 25th, 2025, the resort is currently brimming with recent and limited-time offerings, particularly thanks to the ongoing Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, which runs until April 21st.

The Food & Wine Festival in Disney California Adventure is a treasure trove of new tastes. At the Golden Dreams booth, the Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew ($7.25) offers a unique twist on a morning staple, blending sweet blueberry notes with the kick of cold brew. For a savory bite, the LA Style booth presents the Western BBQ Burger Bao ($9.50), a delightful fusion of a classic cheeseburger encased in a soft bao bun. Pickle enthusiasts will rejoice at the Pickle Whiskey Sour ($17), a surprisingly harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors found at Peppers Cali-ente or Smokejumpers Grill. Corn Dog Castle introduces the SoCal Corn Dog ($13.29), a hot dog rolled in crispy french fries, reminiscent of a popular Los Angeles burger chain. Just across the way in Disneyland, Royal Street Veranda offers a Snack-Size Mardi Gras Monte Cristo ($11.49), a smaller, more accessible version of the beloved Café Orleans sandwich. Back in Disneyland Park at Refreshment Corner, the much-loved Cinnamon Roll Pretzel ($7.99) has made a welcome return.

Beyond these highlights, the Food & Wine Festival boasts a plethora of other enticing options. Sonoma Terrace and Mercado de Antojos feature the savory Birria Mac & Cheese, while LA Style and Award Wieners offer the Mini LA Street Dog. Aunt Cass Café presents the Burrata Toast, and Peppers Cali-ente and Cozy Cones serve up the Corn Chip Chili Pie. Beverage highlights include the non-alcoholic Mango Guava Punch and the IPA Beer Flight from California Craft Brews, the Raspberry Horchata from Mercado de Antojos, and the California Wine Cocktail from Uncork California. Returning favorites include the Loaded Carnitas Pretzel Bites from Stadium Vending and the Shrimp Papas Locas from Peppers Cali-ente. Sweet treats abound, such as the Café de Olla Tres Leches Cake from Mercado de Antojos and the Mango Sticky Rice-inspired Churro available at two locations. Other notable mentions include the Cherry Cobbler Pot de Crème, Lime Parfait, Lemon Pepper Wings, Sloppy Joe Slider, and a variety of craft beers and ciders at Paradise Beer Garden. Great Maple Modern American Eatery in Downtown Disney also features seasonal delights like Red Wine Braised Short Ribs and Crab Cakes.

Starting March 28th, “Season of the Force” adds another layer of culinary excitement in Disneyland Park. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo will offer the new Ne’tra gal Ale (White Wampa Ale) and the Keshian Spiced Milk Tea, alongside returning favorites like Fried Chicken Baos and the Toydaria Swirl. Ronto Roasters will feature the new Fried Falumpaset Cheese Skewer, while Galactic Grill will introduce the Galactic Gyro Burger, Loaded Outpost Fries, and the Pistachio-Cherry Parfait, along with themed slushies and punches served with collectible lightsaber swizzle sticks. Churros near Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and pretzels near Star Tours will offer special sour blue raspberry and spiced red cinnamon churros, respectively. Even Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa gets in on the action with Star Wars-themed cookies, whoopie pies, and pretzel lightsabers.

Beyond the festival and event-specific items, keep an eye out for hidden culinary treasures. The Cinnamon Roll Pretzel at Refreshment Corner in Disneyland ($7.99) is a returning favorite often missed by casual visitors. The Snack-Size Mardi Gras Monte Cristo at Royal Street Veranda ($11.49) offers a taste of the iconic Café Orleans sandwich without the need for a coveted reservation. With Easter just around the corner, Candy Palace is showcasing festive treats like bunny rice krispie treats, chick cake pops, and decorated cupcakes, available through April 21st. The seasonal mint julep in New Orleans Square remains a refreshing and popular choice.

Several dishes have garnered significant attention recently. The novel combinations of the Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew, Western BBQ Burger Bao, Pickle Whiskey Sour, and SoCal Corn Dog have made them trending items, largely due to their association with the Food & Wine Festival. Reviews suggest the Birria Mac & Cheese, Musubi Fried Rice, Sirloin Gruyére Mac & Cheese, and the tiramisu-like dessert at the Food & Wine Festival are particularly well-received. Long-standing favorites like the hot link corn dog from Corn Dog Castle and the cream cheese pretzel from the cart near “it’s a small world” continue to draw crowds.

To optimize your dining experience, consider bringing your own snacks and water to save on costs. Quick service restaurants offer free cups of ice water upon request. Take advantage of the express versions of popular restaurants in Downtown Disney for quicker and often more budget-friendly meals. Mobile ordering through the Disneyland app is an invaluable tool for skipping long lines at many quick-service locations. Placing your order an hour or so before peak meal times can help secure your preferred pickup window. The app provides access to full menus, including allergy-friendly options, and offers various payment methods. Magic Key holders can even find exclusive mobile order offers, such as special combos and ice cream float samplers.

While the notion of a specific “chef’s special” at Café Orleans isn’t widely publicized, the popularity of the full-sized Monte Cristo suggests that if reservations are scarce, the readily available snack-sized version at Royal Street Veranda offers a satisfying alternative. For those with smaller appetites, opting for kids’ meals can be a cost-effective way to sample more dishes. Sharing meals, especially some of the larger portions, is another excellent way to save money. Don’t forget to ask for a to-go cup at sit-down restaurants to enjoy any leftover beverages later.

Unlocking the Magic: Insider Tips for an Enhanced Experience

Disneyland Resort is brimming with hidden gems waiting to be uncovered by those who venture beyond the well-trodden paths. For unique photo opportunities, consider seeking out the elusive Dream Suite in Adventureland or capturing the eerie ambiance of the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square. While access to the exclusive Club 33 remains limited, its presence adds to the mystique of New Orleans Square. Above the Fire Station on Main Street, a light often glows in Walt Disney’s former apartment, a poignant reminder of the park’s creator. On the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, keen observers might spot real skeletons adding an authentic touch. In the queue for Indiana Jones Adventure, look back at the projector in the screening room to find a hidden Eeyore sign, a tribute to the former parking lot. After experiencing the Jungle Cruise, ask a cast member for a free cruise map, a charming souvenir. Over in Frontierland, politely inquire if you can visit the wheelhouse of the Mark Twain Riverboat for a unique perspective. Keep an eye out for the “phantom fish” that jumps out of the water as the Mark Twain passes the boy on the log. The base of the Disneyland flagpole on Main Street is a repurposed piece of a Wilshire Boulevard light post, a subtle nod to Los Angeles history.

In Critter Country, a secret path leads to a quieter area with a unique view of Splash Mountain. Consider asking a cast member on Ariel’s Undersea Adventure if a child can hold the glowing wand for a memorable photo. On Buena Vista Street in California Adventure, keep an eye out for Millie and Molly, the bike messengers who sometimes carry messages from Mickey and friends. At the Coca Cola Refreshment Center on Main Street, look closely at the red and white light bulbs; one bulb is painted both colors due to a dilemma during installation. Inside The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, after the dream sequence, look up and back to see the trophy heads from the former Country Bear Jamboree. To the right of Sleeping Beauty Castle, find the steps leading to a tree with “PP” and “WD” carved into it.

For those hoping to encounter their favorite characters in less crowded settings, Buena Vista Street in California Adventure often hosts classic characters like Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. Star Wars enthusiasts might spot Darth Vader or Stormtroopers in Tomorrowland on occasion. In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, encounters with the Mandalorian and Grogu, as well as Ahsoka Tano, are common.

Beginning March 28th, rumors suggest the legendary Luke Skywalker will also make appearances in Batuu. Tiana can often be found strolling through New Orleans Square or aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat. Keep an eye out near the Disneyland gates, as princesses like Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, and Mulan have been known to greet guests upon arrival. While Pixie Hollow is currently closed for refurbishment, Winnie the Pooh and his friends can usually be found in Pooh Corner after exiting their ride. In California Adventure, Carthay Circle and the surrounding area often host Mickey, Minnie, and their pals, while Oswald the Lucky Rabbit can be spotted near the park entrance/exit.

This week offers a blend of seasonal magic. The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival continues until April 21st, offering a vibrant array of culinary delights. Starting March 28th and running until May 11th, “Season of the Force” takes over Disneyland, bringing Star Wars-themed experiences and offerings. The Eggstravaganza egg hunt also runs from March 25th to April 21st. A new nightly projection show, “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga,” debuts in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on March 28th, adding to the nighttime spectacle. The beloved Mickey and Friends Brand New Day Cavalcade continues its daily performances. Hyperspace Mountain also returns with the start of “Season of the Force” on March 28th.

For free souvenirs, remember to ask for a map after your Jungle Cruise adventure. If you happen to meet Millie or Molly on Buena Vista Street, they might have a message for you from a Disney character. At Autotopia, you can often request a free driver’s license. For Indiana Jones Adventure fans, ask a cast member for a decoder card to decipher the hieroglyphics in the queue. Pin trading offers another fun and free way to collect Disney memorabilia. Don’t forget to pick up a celebration button upon arrival and a park map for navigation. Magic Key holders can enjoy a special Mary Blair PhotoPass Magic Shot until March 31st.

Beyond the main attractions, consider taking a leisurely ride on the Storybook Land Canal Boats, especially as the sun begins to set. Unleash your inner artist at the Animation Academy in California Adventure. Step into the whimsical world of the Magic Shop on Main Street, where you might encounter a real magician. Engage in a hilarious conversation with Crush at Turtle Talk with Crush in California Adventure. Explore the rustic charm of Tom Sawyer’s Island in Disneyland. Take a relaxing grand circle tour aboard the Disneyland Railroad. For thrill-seekers, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters often has shorter lines later in the evening. Discover the enchanting Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough. Find Snow White’s Wishing Well and Grotto near the castle. Look for the special “Jingle” horse on King Arthur Carrousel. Experience the classic Enchanted Tiki Room. Watch the “it’s a small world” clock chime every 15 minutes.

While currently closed, keep Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln in mind for future visits. In California Adventure, the Mater and Luigi rides in Cars Land offer surprisingly fun experiences. Enjoy the ambiance and perhaps a cocktail at the Hearthstone Bar in the Grand Californian. Look for subtle nods to Women’s History Month throughout Disneyland Park in March, such as the Mickey floral arrangement being adorned with a bow to become Minnie’s floral, and a “Votes for Women” sash appearing in the Main Street Cinema. Take a moment to watch “The First 50 Magical Years” movie in the Opera House lobby on Main Street. Discover the tiny house of the Little Man of Disneyland in Adventureland. Take a peaceful stroll along the secret path in Critter Country. If the opportunity arises, try to ride the Lilly Belle train car or even pilot the Mark Twain Riverboat for an unforgettable experience. Keep an eye out for the brick wall samples near the water fountain just off Main Street.

Smart Spending: Exclusive Savings and Perks

Savvy travelers can unlock a variety of discounts and perks to enhance their Disneyland Resort visit this week. Currently, everyone can save up to 20% on select rooms at Disneyland Resort hotels for Sunday through Thursday night stays from March 23rd to May 15th, 2025, if booked by May 12th.

Magic Key holders enjoy even greater savings, with up to 25% off select stays at Disneyland Resort hotels on Sunday through Thursday nights during the same period, also requiring booking by May 12th. Additionally, Magic Key holders can purchase a specially priced Sip and Savor Pass with a themed lanyard for the Food & Wine Festival (until April 21st). They also have access to a semi-secluded dining area during the festival and can purchase exclusive merchandise. Depending on their Magic Key type, holders receive up to 15% off select dining and 20% off select merchandise throughout the resort. Parking discounts are also a perk, ranging from 25% to 50% depending on the pass. Magic Key holders also receive a 25% discount on the purchase of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass when using their pass for park admission. Keep an eye out for special mobile order offers exclusive to Magic Key holders, such as the Box’O Sliders Combo at Galactic Grill and a trio of ice cream floats at The Golden Horseshoe.

Disney Visa cardholders can save up to 30% on select Premium rooms at Disneyland Resort hotels for Sunday through Thursday night stays from March 23rd to May 15th, 2025, when booking by May 12th. They also have access to exclusive character photo opportunities daily in Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Park, with complimentary photo downloads. A special Stitch-themed PhotoPass Lens is also available through the Disneyland app. Cardholders receive 10% off select merchandise and dining purchases at various locations throughout the resort. They can also enjoy 15% off select guided tours. Look for a 2025 Disneyland Resort vacation package offering exclusive perks like an insulated cooler bag.

Mobile ordering through the Disneyland app offers significant time-saving benefits and allows guests to bypass traditional queues. Magic Key holders can find additional value with exclusive mobile order offers.

Beyond these specific programs, there are several lesser-known ways to save money. Opting for 1-Park per Day tickets instead of Park Hopper can lead to savings. Consider using a shuttle service like Karmel for airport transportation. Bringing your own snacks and refillable water bottles is a simple yet effective way to reduce expenses. Look for express versions of restaurants in Downtown Disney for more affordable meals. Purchasing Disney-themed souvenirs from discount stores before your trip can save a considerable amount. Keep an eye out for penny pressing machines throughout the resort for a cheap and fun souvenir. If you have a Target RedCard, purchasing Disney Gift Cards at Target can yield a 5% discount. Traveling during less popular times of the year or on weekdays can also impact ticket prices.

Navigating the Kingdom: Crowd Intelligence for a Smooth Visit

Navigating the Disneyland Resort this week requires understanding the ebb and flow of crowds. The 14-day forecast indicates consistently elevated attendance levels due to ongoing spring breaks.

The primary drivers for these crowds are the various school district spring breaks taking place throughout late March and early April. While Easter falls later in April, the lead-up to the holiday often sees increased visitation. Additionally, the launch of “Season of the Force” on March 28th is expected to draw Star Wars enthusiasts to Disneyland Park. The Eggstravaganza event, running from March 25th to April 21st, might also contribute to higher park attendance.

Based on the forecast, the weekdays of April 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 8th appear to be the least crowded within the next two weeks, although levels are still predicted to be moderate (7/10). For the best chance at lower wait times, aim to arrive at the parks before they open, capitalizing on the initial hours before the main crowds arrive. Similarly, the last hour before park closing can also see a dip in wait times. For Disneyland Park, rope dropping Peter Pan in Fantasyland is a popular strategy. However, unless you are among the very first to arrive, consider other Fantasyland attractions or head towards Frontierland for Big Thunder Mountain or Adventureland for Indiana Jones Adventure (though it’s currently closed). For Disney California Adventure, heading straight to Pixar Pier at rope drop can allow you to experience multiple rides before the crowds for Cars Land build. If Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is a priority and you are not using Lightning Lane, rope dropping this attraction is advisable.

Several attractions and facilities are currently undergoing refurbishment. In Disneyland Park, Sailing Ship Columbia is closed through March 28th, reopening on March 29th. The reimagining of The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln into Walt Disney – A Magical Life will keep the attraction closed until July 16th, 2025. “it’s a small world” is closed from January 21st to approximately April 24th, 2025. Meet Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow remains closed with no reopening date announced. The Indiana Jones Adventure is closed from March 17th to April 24th, 2025, a significant impact during this busy period. Looking ahead, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and Matterhorn Bobsleds will both close on April 28th, 2025, with no reopening dates yet specified. In Disney California Adventure, Soarin’ Around the World will be closed from April 28th to May 1st, 2025. Sorcerer’s Workshop and Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome will also close on April 28th, 2025, with no return dates announced. Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is closed from March 24th to April 11th, 2025. Several hotel amenities are also affected. The Grand Californian Hotel’s theme park entrance is closed until mid-May, with guests directed to use the Pixar Place entrance.

Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Californian is closed for a few weeks in March, with modified character dining available in the Trillium Room. Napa Rose at the Grand Californian will close on March 28th for an extensive refurbishment until fall 2025, with Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures moving to the Trillium Room in April. The Pixar Place Hotel pool deck is closed beginning March 3rd, 2025, with guests able to use the pools at the Disneyland Hotel. Electric vehicle charging is temporarily unavailable at the Disneyland Hotel from March through the summer. The closure of Indiana Jones Adventure will undoubtedly impact guest experiences, especially given its popularity. The reopening of Sailing Ship Columbia offers a welcome addition. The continued closure of “it’s a small world” affects Fantasyland’s ride capacity. Guests staying at the Grand Californian should be aware of the entrance closure and plan accordingly.

To maximize your time, consider utilizing the Lightning Lane system. Upon entering the park, book your first Lightning Lane reservation immediately. As soon as you redeem your current pass or the 120-minute window opens, book your next selection. Prioritize high-demand attractions like Indiana Jones (when reopened), Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Matterhorn, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disneyland, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Soarin’ in California Adventure. Strategically “stack” Lightning Lane reservations for later in the day when standby lines are longest. Always modify reservations instead of canceling to avoid resetting the cooldown period. The Lightning Lane Premier Pass offers maximum flexibility with one-time entry to all available Lightning Lane attractions without needing to select arrival times.

Haunted Mansion currently operates with a standby line and is part of the Lightning Lane system, so a virtual queue is not in use. Virtual queues may be implemented for other select attractions or experiences; check the Disneyland app for the most up-to-date information. The virtual queue for World of Color in Disney California Adventure opens at noon daily for guests who have entered either park with a Park Hopper ticket or DCA with a one-park ticket.

Single rider lines can be a significant time-saver for individuals or groups willing to ride separately. Disneyland Park offers single rider lines for Matterhorn Bobsleds, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and Space Mountain. Disney California Adventure has single rider lines for Incredicoaster, Goofy’s Sky School, Grizzly River Run, Radiator Springs Racers, and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. For The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, a “Roo Pass” (similar to single rider) may be available. Radiator Springs Racers and Matterhorn are often cited as having particularly efficient single rider lines. Be aware that wait times for single rider lines can sometimes be comparable to or even longer than standby lines, so it’s always a good idea to check with a cast member.

For families with young children, the Rider Switch program allows one adult to ride while another supervises the non-rider(s), and then they can switch without having to wait in line again. This service is available at most attractions throughout the Disneyland Resort. The waiting adult can often bring one other guest (such as an older child who rode the first time) with them.

A popular rope drop strategy for Disneyland Park involves heading straight to Fantasyland for Peter Pan’s Flight. Following that, consider attractions in Adventureland or Frontierland. For Disney California Adventure, Pixar Pier is a recommended starting point to knock out several rides quickly. Another option is to prioritize Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!.

Given the close proximity of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, park hopping can be an efficient way to experience more during your visit. If you plan to park hop, consider making Lightning Lane reservations for attractions in your second park before you even leave the first. Decide where you want to end your day, whether it’s Disneyland for fireworks or Disney California Adventure for World of Color, and plan your hopping accordingly. For those staying at Disneyland Resort hotels, take advantage of the 30-minute Early Entry to a designated park each day to get a head start on popular attractions. Extended Evening Hours are offered to guests staying at Deluxe and DVC resorts on select nights, providing extra time in the parks after regular closing.

Spotlight on Stage: Must-See Events and Shows

The Mickey and Friends Brand New Day Cavalcade in Disneyland Park is a delightful daytime spectacle that continues to bring smiles to guests of all ages. This lively procession, typically occurring around 1:45 pm, offers a chance to see beloved Disney characters in a joyful and energetic setting. Its accessible daytime timing makes it a perfect interlude in your park adventures.

Starting March 28th, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park will debut “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga“. This new nightly projection show promises an immersive journey through the iconic moments of the Skywalker saga, utilizing stunning visual effects and the unforgettable musical themes from the films. Taking place after dark against the backdrop of Batuu, this experience is a must-see for Star Wars fans looking to further immerse themselves in the galaxy far, far away.

Adding to the Star Wars magic, Fire of the Rising Moons continues its nightly run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This unique nighttime experience offers a different perspective on the Disneyland fireworks display, synchronized with a captivating Star Wars soundtrack. Guests can enjoy this show from within Galaxy’s Edge, creating a distinct and memorable way to conclude their day. For an enhanced experience, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo offers a special nighttime gathering package on select evenings that includes reserved viewing.

This Week’s Buzz: The Latest Disneyland News

Preparations are in full swing for Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary celebration, officially commencing on May 16th, 2025. While the official kickoff is still a few weeks away, anticipation is building, and reservations are now open for special 70th Anniversary dining packages. The beloved “Paint the Night” parade will make its return on May 16th with a special update to its lead drum float, featuring the 70th-anniversary logo.

This week marks the highly anticipated arrival of “Season of the Force” on March 28th. This limited-time event will transform Disneyland Park with the return of Hyperspace Mountain, a variety of themed food and beverage offerings, exclusive merchandise, and exciting character encounters, including Sabine Wren from “Ahsoka” and potentially Luke Skywalker.

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival continues to delight guests with its diverse culinary marketplace offerings, running until April 21st.

Several refurbishment projects are underway. Sailing Ship Columbia in Disneyland Park is set to reopen on March 29th. However, Indiana Jones Adventure, “it’s a small world,” and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail remain closed for refurbishment. Storytellers Cafe and Napa Rose at the Grand Californian Hotel are also currently undergoing refurbishment.

In other news, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! in Disney California Adventure has recently reopened following a brief refurbishment. The facade of Elias and Company on Buena Vista Street has been refreshed. Disneyland has also announced new dining experiences coming on May 16th, including a “Paint the Night” dining package at Plaza Inn and Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet at Storytellers Cafe.

The gates of Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando are open, and this week promises a symphony of magic for those who venture through. Forget the standard tourist traps and well-trodden paths; this guide is your key to unlocking a Disney experience brimming with insider knowledge, culinary revelations, and savvy strategies to navigate the parks like a seasoned pro. Get ready to dive into the details that will transform your visit from ordinary to extraordinary, ensuring every moment is filled with wonder and every dollar is spent wisely.

New Menu Items: What’s Fresh This Week?

For burger aficionados, D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs has rolled out a seasonal Pastrami Burger ($14.99). This hearty creation features two signature-blend patties stacked with Swiss cheese, beef pastrami, braised cabbage, and a tangy Thousand Island sauce, all nestled within a rye bun. This offers a substantial and flavorful departure from typical burger fare. Sweet treat seekers can head over to Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs for their new Frozen Hot Chocolate ($12.99), also available as a cocktail with Baileys Original Irish Cream for the same price. Perfect for the Florida warmth, these offer a refreshing twist on a classic comfort drink.

For a touch of elegance, The Cake Bake Shop in Disney Springs has introduced a stunning Neapolitan Cake, with prices starting at $115.00 for a 6″ cake. This addition underscores Disney Springs’ position as a premier destination for sophisticated desserts. Venturing into EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion, Kringla Bakeri og Kafe now features the Troll Horn ($4.79), a traditional Norwegian pastry that provides an authentic taste of the region within World Showcase.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, The Hollywood Brown Derby launched its spring menu on March 4th, showcasing refined options like Au Gratin Potato ($12.00),($18.00), ($13.00), and ($45.00). These additions cater to those seeking a more upscale dining experience within the park. Near Disney Springs, at the Dolphin Hotel, Rosa Mexicano is now offering Esquites ($23.00), providing a lighter, flavorful choice with soy and lime notes.

Raglan Road in Disney Springs has also updated its menus, including brunch, with new items such as, (), ()), and Hipsters Lament (prices vary, check the in-house menu). These offer a taste of Ireland with contemporary flair. Lastly, for a quick and seasonal refreshment, various Starbucks locations across the resort, including Trolley Car Cafe at Hollywood Studios, Connections Cafe at EPCOT, and Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom, are featuring the Iced Cherry Chai and Lavender Oatmilk Latte (both $6.75 for a Grande).

The introduction of these new menu items indicates a strategic effort to cater to diverse palates and preferences among the visitors this week. The timing aligns perfectly with the spring season and the ongoing EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, suggesting a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and flavors. Notably, Disney Springs continues its reign as a significant culinary hub within the resort. The concentration of new offerings at locations like D-Luxe Burger, Swirls on the Water, The Cake Bake Shop, and Raglan Road underscores its importance as a dining destination, separate yet integral to the theme park experiences.

Hidden Culinary Gems: Off-Menu Delights and Seasonal Secrets

Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs is a prime example, famous for its elusive secret menu, with a new, highly anticipated flavor unveiled each month. The beloved Coffee Cake Cookie also makes appearances during specific hours, priced between $6.00 and $6.50. Their Peanut Butter Cold Brew Cookie ($6.50) and the rich PB Cold Brew Cake (slices are likely available, with the whole cake priced at $98.00) are also highly sought after. For a unique caffeine boost, don’t overlook their Peanut Butter Cold Brew ($6.00). The strategy employed by Gideon’s Bakehouse, with its limited-edition and secret offerings, effectively generates excitement and encourages guests to stay informed through social media and newsletters. The need to even know a special password for secret cake slices further amplifies this sense of exclusivity.

In Magic Kingdom, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Tomorrowland offers the Loaded Galaxy Fries via mobile order. This savory side, topped with a generous helping of cheese sauce, ranch dressing, bacon bits, and a sprinkle of Flamin’ Hot cheese dust, is a testament to how some “secret” items are now more easily accessible through the My Disney Experience app’s mobile ordering feature. This demonstrates a shift where hidden items are becoming more about less-advertised options rather than truly secret ones. Adventureland’s Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom serves up the Pão de Queijo, a delightful Brazilian cheese bread accompanied by chimichurri cream cheese. This hidden appetizer provides a distinct flavor profile that sets it apart from more conventional theme park offerings, appealing to guests looking for something a little different. Between 3 and 6 PM, a unique opportunity awaits at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland (Magic Kingdom). Guests can inquire about the Nachos Rio Grande, a massive platter of nachos designed to be shared among six people. The “challenge” aspect adds a playful element, encouraging group dining and creating a memorable experience. Even at the value resorts, culinary surprises can be found. At the World Premiere Food Court in the Premier Food Court at All-Star Movies Resort, asking about the secret menu might reveal the Cinnamon Bun Burger. This highlights that unique and talked-about food items can be found even in unexpected locations, rewarding exploration across the resort.

The comforting Strawberry Soup can be found at the elegant Grand Floridian Café at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, offering a refreshing and slightly tart alternative to traditional soups. This same fan-favorite item is also a regular offering at 1900 Park Fare. Its availability at multiple locations within the resort ensures that more guests have the chance to enjoy this unique dish. Plant-based diners will be pleased to know that the Plant-Based Loaded Slaw Dog can be requested at Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This off-menu option comes complete with vegan fries, demonstrating Disney’s increasing commitment to accommodating plant-based diets. Over in EPCOT’s UK Pavilion, Rose & Crown Dining Room holds a year-round secret: the plant-based Christmas Pudding. This rich chocolate pudding with subtle coffee notes, topped with whipped cream, is available simply by asking. The contrast between its name and year-round availability makes it a true hidden delight for those in the know. Celebrity Chef Maneet Chauhan, at her restaurant Ember in Disney Springs, recently revealed the Bhel Puri Salad as her most underrated dish. This flavorful salad features crispy puffed rice mixed with peanuts, mango, strawberry, potato, cilantro, and a medley of chutneys. Such endorsements from renowned chefs add a certain prestige to these hidden finds, making them even more enticing for culinary adventurers.

The ongoing EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival (March 5 – June 2) further enriches the seasonal culinary landscape. Be sure to sample the refreshing Orange-Lemon Smoothie ($5.00) at The Citrus Blossom, the savory Grilled Asparagus ($5.50) at EPCOT Farmers Feast, and the flavorful Conch Fritters ($6.50) at Florida Fresh. For a cool treat, try the Liquid Nitro Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake ($6.50) at Swirled Showcase. Connections Cafe also offers unique seasonal items like the Plant-based Citrus Baked Brie ($6.29) and the Carrot Cake Liege Waffle ($5.79). The festival’s limited-time nature creates a sense of urgency, encouraging guests to explore the diverse culinary offerings throughout the World Showcase.

With Easter approaching, a collection of festive treats is available from March 18th to April 20th. Look for the Painted Egg Whoopie Pie and Carrot Cupcake at select resorts, the whimsical Bunny Mousse Dome at Gasparilla Island Grill, and the delicate Easter Egg Macarons at Le Petit Café. Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs offers a trio of Easter delights: the Easter Egg Petit Cake, Mini Easter Croquembouche, and Easter Minnie Mouse Dome Cake. These seasonal treats add a layer of charm and are perfect for families celebrating the holiday.

Trending Tastes: Dishes Everyone’s Talking About

Several dishes consistently capture the attention of Disney World visitors. Start your day with the iconic Nutella Waffle from Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom, a sweet and satisfying treat that frequently receives high praise. The classic Dole Whip remains a must-try, with the boozy version at Tamu Tamu in Animal Kingdom offering an adult twist. For a hearty breakfast in Animal Kingdom, the Pongu Lumpia and Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters are popular choices. Also in Magic Kingdom, the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow is another highly recommended item. The Indian-style Bread Service at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is repeatedly lauded for its unique flavors and dipping sauces. Over in Animal Kingdom park, the Pulled Pork Fries at the Smiling Crocodile are a flavorful snack. For a delightful dessert in Magic Kingdom, try the Cheshire Cat Tail from Cheshire Cafe. POG Juice (Passion-Orange-Guava) is a beloved beverage, especially during breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. In Hollywood Studios, the Lunch Box Tarts from Woody’s Lunch Box are a crowd-pleasing savory option. Don’t miss the Corn Dog Nuggets found at a cart in Adventureland (Magic Kingdom), a snack that has garnered a significant following. For a taste of Germany in EPCOT, the Nudel Gratin from Sommerfest is a unique treat. The vibrant Night Blossom from Pongu Pongu in Pandora – The World of Avatar (Animal Kingdom) is a visually appealing and refreshing drink. While the exact location isn’t specified, Zebra Domes are frequently mentioned as a beloved treat. Finally, the giant Cinnamon Roll at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom is a classic way to start the day. The consistent positive feedback these dishes receive online indicates their broad appeal and makes them strong contenders for any visitor’s must-try list.

Dining Optimization Tactics: Eat Smarter, Not Harder

Maximize your dining experience by employing smart strategies. Save valuable park time by utilizing the Mobile Ordering feature in the My Disney Experience app. Many quick-service locations allow you to pre-order your food, skip the often lengthy lines, and pick it up at your convenience. This simple step can free up significant time for enjoying attractions and entertainment. Consider making dining reservations 60 days in advance for table-service restaurants, especially popular ones like character dining or themed experiences. If your plans change, remember that you can often modify or cancel reservations up to two hours before your scheduled time. For those staying at a Disney resort, take advantage of early theme park entry to get a head start on popular attractions and potentially enjoy breakfast with fewer crowds. Consider booking a late breakfast at a buffet restaurant to take advantage of the transition to lunch offerings, essentially getting two meals for the price of one. If you have picky eaters in your group, research menus in advance using the My Disney Experience app or Disney World’s website. Many restaurants offer familiar foods with a twist, and quick-service locations often allow adults to order from the kids’ menu for smaller portions and potentially lower prices. Don’t hesitate to ask cast members for recommendations or about off-menu items; you might be surprised by what you discover. Sharing meals or ordering appetizers can also be a cost-effective way to sample more dishes without overeating.

Crowd-Pleasing Plates: Yelp and TripAdvisor’s Top Picks

When deciding where to dine, the opinions of fellow visitors can be invaluable. According to Yelp, some of the highest-rated table-service restaurants include Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian, praised for its phenomenal dishes, and Wine Bar George in Disney Springs, known for its extensive wine list and delicious small plates. Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant also receives high marks for its entertainment and food. In Animal Kingdom, Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is celebrated for its exceptional food, particularly the Bread Service, and Boma – Flavors of Africa is lauded for its authentic African cuisine. TripAdvisor consistently ranks Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort as a top dining location, primarily due to the enduring popularity of the Dole Whip. These third-party reviews offer valuable insights into overall guest satisfaction and highlight specific menu items that consistently impress.

Unexpected Eats: Dining Hacks

For a truly unique souvenir and a taste of Southern hospitality, head to Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs and inquire about their refillable water bottle… which actually offers endless refills of their signature moonshine for a set price after the initial purchase. At Club Cool in EPCOT, located in World Celebration, you can sample complimentary sodas from around the world, a refreshing and free way to experience global flavors. If you’re a fan of the iconic Cheeseburger Spring Rolls from the cart outside Adventureland in Magic Kingdom, ask for the secret mayo-based dipping sauce, similar to an aioli, which enhances the flavor of the rolls. For those craving the popular Stack Burger from Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary Resort but missed out on reservations, try asking for it in the lounge area, where it’s often available all day. These unexpected hacks can add an element of surprise and fun to your dining adventures, offering experiences beyond the typical theme park fare.

INSIDER EXPERIENCE TIPS: Unlocking the Magic Beyond the Guidebooks

For a unique photo opportunity, head to the Tangled Lantern Photo Spot at night to capture a magical portrait holding a glowing lantern. This enchanting spot offers a truly memorable photo, especially after the sun sets. Seek out the Purple Wall near Tomorrowland Terrace in Magic Kingdom, a surprisingly popular and Instagrammable backdrop. Its vibrant color and geometric patterns make for a striking photo. For a classic shot with fewer crowds, try the sides of Cinderella Castle rather than the front, offering unique angles and perspectives.

Keep an eye out for unscheduled character appearances at Disney resort lobbies. Recently, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has started posting character visit times in the lobby on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 10:20 AM. A similar sign has been spotted at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, with character appearances on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between 2:30 PM and 3:20 PM. These impromptu meet-and-greets offer a chance to see your favorite characters in a more relaxed setting.

While not widely publicized, keep an eye out for “Kidcot Fun Stops” around the World Showcase in EPCOT during the Flower and Garden Festival. These often offer small, free activities or crafts for children, providing a little extra souvenir to take home. Transportation enthusiasts can try asking Cast Members on Disney buses and monorails for transportation trading cards, a fun and free collectible.

For a lesser-known activity, consider a visit to the McKim’s Mile House DVC Member Lounge in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, which opened on March 18, 2025. This “pioneer-inspired” space offers Disney Vacation Club members a place to relax. Even if you’re not a DVC member, exploring the different resort hotels can be an activity in itself, offering unique theming and often live entertainment.

EXCLUSIVE SAVINGS: Smart Strategies for a Magical Trip Without Breaking the Bank

Visiting the special offers page reveals several active discounts with a minimum 7-day validity. As of this week, there’s an offer to save up to $200 per night on a 3-night, 2-day room-and-ticket package at select Disney Resorts for stays most nights from February 26th to June 30th, 2025. Annual Passholders can save up to 35% on hotel stays at select Disney Resorts most nights from February 23rd to April 30th, 2025. Military members can take advantage of specially priced 4-day, 5-day, and 6-day Disney Military Salute Tickets throughout 2025, as well as savings on rooms at select Disney Resorts from January 1st through December 19th, 2025.

Beyond these official offers, MouseSavers.com often lists additional discounts and deals not directly advertised by Disney. Checking their site regularly is highly recommended. Lesser-known ways to save money include bringing your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages into the parks, utilizing free water cups at quick-service restaurants, and considering value or moderate resort hotels over deluxe options. Eating breakfast in your hotel room can also save both time and money. If character dining is a must-do, consider booking breakfast, which is typically less expensive than lunch or dinner. Purchasing a refillable popcorn bucket can lead to savings on this popular park snack.

CROWD INDEX INTELLIGENCE: Your Week at a Glance for a Smoother Visit

Navigating the crowds is a key aspect of a successful Disney World vacation. While a precise 14-day crowd forecast is dynamic, general trends for late March typically indicate moderate to high crowds due to spring break for many schools. The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, running through June 2nd, also draws significant crowds to EPCOT, particularly on weekends. Easter week, which begins this week, is also a historically busy period.

For the next 14 days (March 25th to April 8th), anticipate the highest crowd levels around the Easter weekend (March 28th – April 1st). The optimal visiting dates within this period would likely be Tuesday, March 25th, Wednesday, March 26th, and Tuesday, April 8th, which are expected to have slightly lower crowd levels compared to the surrounding days.

The best times of day to visit each park are generally during the first hour after opening (rope drop) and the last two hours before closing. Midday, from approximately 11 AM to 4 PM, tends to be the most crowded.

Several refurbishments are currently underway. In Magic Kingdom, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is closed all month and will remain closed through 2026. Astro Orbiter is also closed for the entire month, reopening in the summer of 2025. The Hall of Presidents remains closed with a reopening date yet to be announced. In EPCOT, Test Track is closed for a significant reimagining and is expected to reopen in late summer 2025. However, the Journey into Imagination with Figment in EPCOT reopened on March 15th. In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Kali River Rapids is closed for the entire month, with a reopening date to be announced. These closures will impact guest experience by reducing the available attraction capacity. Consider alternative attractions in the same park; for example, while Big Thunder Mountain is closed, guests can enjoy other thrill rides like Space Mountain or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom.

To save time, utilize Genie+ and Lightning Lane to bypass standby lines at many popular attractions. While there is a cost associated with Genie+, it can significantly reduce wait times, especially during peak crowd periods. Some highly popular attractions, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT and TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom, may utilize virtual queues. Check the My Disney Experience app daily for availability and joining times. For some attractions, single rider lines can offer significantly shorter wait times for individuals willing to ride separately. Rider switch is a valuable strategy for families with young children who do not meet height requirements. One adult can ride while the other waits with the child, and then they can switch without having to wait in line again. Arriving at the parks before their official opening time (rope drop) is crucial for experiencing key attractions with minimal waits. Park hopping efficiency depends on your priorities and the crowd levels. It’s generally recommended to start your day in a less crowded park and hop to another later in the day, being mindful of transportation times. Guests staying at Disney resorts can take advantage of Early Entry, which provides 30 minutes of extra park time before the general public. Extended Evening Hours are available on select nights at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT for guests staying at deluxe resorts, offering even more time to enjoy the parks with lower crowds.

CURTAIN UP! Must-See Shows at Disney World

Based on consistently high guest satisfaction and reviews, three shows stand out as must-sees this week. The Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom is a vibrant and energetic spectacle featuring beloved Disney characters and elaborate floats. Its whimsical music and stunning visuals make it a favorite for guests of all ages. Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom is a breathtaking fireworks and projection show that transforms Cinderella Castle into a canvas of dazzling storytelling. The combination of heartwarming music and spectacular pyrotechnics creates an emotional and unforgettable finale to a day in the Magic Kingdom. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Fantasmic! is a nighttime water show featuring Mickey Mouse battling Disney villains in a dramatic and visually stunning performance. The use of water screens, pyrotechnics, and live actors makes it a truly captivating experience.

THE LATEST SCOOP: What’s New and Noteworthy at Disney World

Several updates and announcements are relevant for those visiting this week or planning future trips.

Disney Parks Blog recently shared the poster for Magic Kingdom’s new nighttime parade, “Disney Starlight–Dream the Night Away,” which is set to debut this summer. Concept art for a Coco-themed float in the parade has also been released, generating excitement for this upcoming addition. The Easter egg displays at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are already available for viewing in the main lobby through April 20th. Displays at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort are expected to be in place from April 1st to April 20th. Inside the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, It’s Tough to Be a Bug closed permanently on March 17, 2025, to make way for Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, a new show expected to open in winter 2025. Additionally, a new show, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, is scheduled to debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this summer. For Star Wars fans, the Star Tours attraction at Disneyland (though not in Disney World) has been updated with new adventures featuring characters from “Ahsoka,” “Andor,” and “The Mandalorian,” hinting at potential future updates for the Disney World version as well.

The Sweet Rhythms of Yesteryear: Dancing Through Time at Disneyland’s Carnation Plaza Gardens

Since Disneyland’s 1955 opening, its magic has sprung from rides, stories, and entertainment. Just over a year later, on August 18, 1956, a new venue debuted near Sleeping Beauty Castle: the Carnation Plaza Gardens. Walt Disney initially planned a gazebo bandstand in Town Square but relocated it to preserve the iconic castle view, demonstrating his focus on visual storytelling (Discoveryland: Episode 4 – YouTube). This move allowed for a more versatile space.

The venue became Carnation Plaza Gardens, named through a partnership with the Carnation Milk Company. This wasn’t just sponsorship; it integrated a beloved brand into the park experience (Discoveryland: Episode 4 – YouTube). Guests enjoyed Carnation’s famous ice cream and other park fare under festive umbrellas, cementing the Plaza Gardens as a place for delightful treats (Daveland Disneyland Plaza Gardens Photos).

The true heart of Carnation Plaza Gardens beat to the rhythm of ballroom dancing. Starting in the summer of 1957, Disneyland introduced “Date Nite,” turning the Plaza Gardens into a hub for young couples. Local papers even joked attending was key to becoming a “BMOD” – Big Man On Dates. For a modest price, couples got park admission after 5 pm, attraction tickets, and an evening dancing under “a million twinkling lights”. “Date Nite” became a massive success, establishing Disneyland as a key part of Southern California’s social scene (Carnation Plaza Gardens – Yesterland).

Providing the soundtrack were the “Date Niters,” later known as the Elliott Brothers Band. Bill and Lloyd Elliott became synonymous with the Plaza Gardens, playing romantic ballads, lively rock and roll, and even the traditional “La Raspa,” a “Date Nite” favorite. Their residency fostered a strong sense of community. The stage also hosted legendary big bands over the years, including Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Benny Goodman, cementing its reputation as a premier music venue.

Imagine the scene: warm air, soaring saxophone notes, the steady bass rhythm, couples twirling on the terrazzo floor, the scent of popcorn and Carnation ice cream, all under the glow of the red-and-white striped canopy and twinkling lights (Carnation Plaza Gardens – Yesterland).

During the day, the Plaza Gardens stage hosted diverse performances, including local school bands and choirs, giving young musicians an inspiring opportunity to perform with the castle backdrop (Carnation Plaza – It’s The Way That You Do It). Disney characters also performed lively shows like “Fantasy Follies”. The venue hosted special events too, like the first Candlelight ceremony in 1958 and an orchestra conducted by composer Alan Silvestri for the park’s 50th Anniversary.

Located between Sleeping Beauty Castle and Frontierland, the Plaza Gardens offered an inviting oasis accessible via a charming path and footbridge. Its open-air design let music drift out, beckoning guests. The iconic feature was the large music pavilion with its vibrant red and white striped canopy. Numerous tables and chairs provided spots to relax and soak in the early 20th-century charm. At its center was the polished terrazzo dance floor, witness to decades of joyous steps.

Walt Disney himself loved the Plaza Gardens, often seen dancing and showing appreciation for the musicians, once gifting bandleaders inscribed miniature pianos (Did You Know? Swinging Stories). The Elliott Brothers even released a live album, “Date Nite at Disneyland,” capturing the era’s energy.

For years, it was known as perhaps the longest continuously running swing dance venue in the world. Its legacy is preserved in a detailed miniature model by Bob Olszewski and the documentary “The Stage Walt Built”.

Carnation Plaza Gardens was more than a venue; it was integral to the Disneyland atmosphere (Carnation Plaza Gardens – Yesterland). Live music created a festive ambiance felt in the Central Plaza. It was a place for intergenerational connection, where toddlers, teens, and grandparents could share the dance floor (Disneyland Closes Carnation Plaza Gardens). With its turn-of-the-century design and timeless music, it offered a nostalgic slice of Americana (Carnation Plaza Gardens – Yesterland), often enhanced by a mirrored ball casting shimmering light (Daveland Disneyland Plaza Gardens Photos). Even when quiet, it was a welcome respite surrounded by lush landscaping.

The Plaza Gardens evolved from the relocated gazebo in 1956 (Carnation Plaza Gardens – Yesterland), with the iconic canopy added in 1957 (Discoveryland: Episode 4 – YouTube). Over time, daytime popularity waned, possibly due to other entertainment options (Carnation Plaza Garden on Disneyland’s Main Street USA [CLOSED]). Food service ceased around 1999 (Carnation Plaza Gardens – Yesterland), and the venue closed on April 30, 2012 (Carnation Plaza Gardens – D23).

In 2013, the area transformed into Fantasy Faire, an extension of Fantasyland focused on Disney princesses. The pavilion became the Royal Theatre, with a new medieval look (Discoveryland: Episode 4 – YouTube). However, the original terrazzo dance floor reportedly remains beneath the surface (Discoveryland: Episode 4 – YouTube), and the tradition of swing dancing continues on select nights as the Royal Swing Big Band Ball, keeping the legacy alive.

The name “Carnation Plaza Gardens” itself recalls the enduring partnership with the Carnation Milk Company, whose treats were enjoyed there for decades. Though gone in its original form, the legacy of joyful music, dance, and sweet memories endures as a cherished part of Disneyland’s history. For those who experienced it, Carnation Plaza Gardens remains a special spot where romance and rhythm intertwined.
