Check out this pic by tauntaun that brings back memories of those summer nights in the Park when everyone would line up on Main Street for the fireworks.
Fireworks were always something we looked forward to from the minute we walked through the gate. If the family split up during the day (with the kids hitting the rides, and us looking for food + great places to sit), then the fireworks show was the rendezvous point at night.
We’d grab coffee and hot chocolate on Main Street and take our place on the street with anticipation–just waiting for them to dim the lights.
It was also time to get excited for the late-night version of Disneyland (wasn’t it awesome to see that mass exodus of people flooding out of the Park after fireworks?). Lines were shorter so you could get around faster, and the weather was nice and cool! It was also a great time to swing by the Plaza Inn and get a piece of fried chicken a la carte.
Hopefully, we will get to experience this again soon. Speaking of that…
Disneyland will serve as a large-scale vaccination site
Disney announced that the Toy Story Parking Lot will be one of the main vaccination sites for Orange County and will become operational later this week. Currently, Orange County is in Group 1A of distribution so residents over age 75 are eligible to receive the vaccine.
